Wally Just passed away recently at the age of 90. Wally was a talented musician who was well known throughout the Milwaukee and Southern Wisconsin area. He began working as a musician when he was twelve years old, and joined Local 8 in 1946. His passion for music followed him from his youth to his military service to the Milwaukee Symphony to running a music store to playing regularly in Milwaukee clubs. In his final years he enjoyed playing in community bands and rescuing instruments from pawn shops, cleaning and repairing them and then selling them or donating them to worthy causes.
Private services were held at the Feerick funeral home with a request that donations be made in his honor to the Whitefish Bay Community Band.
