By a unanimous margin, musicians who work at Skylight Music Theatre voted to authorize a strike against their employer. “Everyone hopes a strike can be avoided, but Skylight needs to know we are serious about reaching a fair agreement.” said Skylight Orchestra Negotiating Committee member Richard Tremarello.
Local 8 has been attempting to reach a contract agreement with Skylight since August of 2012. Musicians graciously worked under terms of an expired agreement for the entire 2012/2013 season at Skylight.
